Developments of the Office of the Future (OOTF): |

So Here's One Possible Solution
Back in 2009 I was shown this sketch of the block APEXX is located on - redeveloped. I've always liked that sketch and have wanted to move forward with it. I propose APEXX builds the first building in this sketch to get the project underway to clean up this blighted district in Lake Delton. Lets get the domino effect started. Until the rest of the block gets redeveloped, APEXX would take the lead getting it underway. This drawing done in 2009 for APEXX's new office building was rejected by Lake Delton - it included underground parking for its tenants. It is unknown why this wasn't approved and given the green light to build. Also in 2009 I was shown another drawing for APEXX's block done by the firm Lake Delton uses - MSA. This drawing shows a 10,000sf building within APEXX's property boundaries. Exactly as APEXX wishes to do. So one would think APEXX is pre-approved to do exactly what the village is planning? In 2010 APEXX was rejected on another building drawn up for consideration. Same for 2011. 2012 discussions were all green lights to build our "Office of the Future" designed as a green building. Then it came time to get the final approval to commence building and it was road blocked - per the 10/11/2012 post. |
Waiting for Official Green Light
We're simply waiting for the official green light from the village of Lake Delton to begin construction. All matters concerning site plan, structure of the building, look of the building, office use, village codes have been met. We went into the Oct 1st 2012 planning commission meeting satisfying all the various lists of demands from the village, expecting to get that green light. Instead we received an additional list of demands that we feel are unreasonable. Once the village removes their newly added demands, we will begin construction. If the newly added demands can not be removed, we will happily comply as soon as all other businesses comply with those same conditions. Conditions include, but are not limited to, a) no furniture, equipment, signage, displays of art or any other physical object shall be allowed outside at any time, b) all billboards must be removed (we have already given the village 8 of our 9 billboards), c) no electronic variable message signs may be operated on the premises, and the list continues... I don't expect any business to have to do what we're being told to do and we can't be singled out either. |
Mon the 8th now
Monday's planning commission meeting introduced us to another delay for the Office of the Future (OOTF). So we're working to have this all wrapped up by our next meeting with the village on Monday the 8th. |

Temporary Building to be removed Tues June 12th
An update regarding our Lake Delton office at 11 W Munroe Ave. As of Tuesday the 12th Castle Homes Sales will be removing the temporary building off the permanent foundation in preparation of the new permanent APEXX office building to be built. During the interim we’ll need to be on site quite a bit so we’ll initially be taking deliveries at the garage there. If you see the side garage door open, you know we’re around if you need to stop in for anything. As of now the new building should be completed by October 2012. Feel free to contact us any time if you need anything, |
